The holy city of Amritsar was a revelation to me, when I first visited it in my youth. Now, after 30 years, I am going to be visiting the city once again, with my children and grandchildren. I have been told that a whole lot has changed in the city, with modern buildings and ancient monuments vying for attention of the tourists. My daughter came up with the idea, and also wanted to make sure that a trip to Wagah Border wouldn’t be out of the question. We also wanted to stay at some place close to the heart of the city, although not too far away from the exit points of the city such as the airport and railway station. Thus, when looking for Hotels in Amritsar, our best bet turned out to be Regenta Central, which seemed like a classy place to stay for a family. Their website promised a lot of amenities, and I was a little skeptical about whether they will be able to go ahead with their promises.
However, when we reached there, we realized that it was indeed one of the finest that the city had to offer. The lobby was very well decorated, and the staff and their helpful attitude proved why it was touted to be one of the best Amritsar hotels. The rooms were spacious and brightly lit, always an advantage for the aged population. Also, their service was impeccable, and always on time. I would always recommend such lovely, heart-warming places to others.
